JessB Pays Homage To Missy Elliot & Snoop Dogg With New Single 'Bump Bump,' Featuring Church Leon
JESSB today releases her brand new single ‘BUMP BUMP’ featuring Church & AP’s CHURCH LEON,
‘Bump Bump’ pays homage to hip-hop legends Missy Elliot and Snoop Dogg, JessB says, “The hook was written by Church Leon, but both of us grew up on late 90’s/early 00’s hip-hop, so that era, including Missy Elliot and Snoop Dogg’s music is nostalgic to both of us in that way.”
Missy Elliot is particularly pertinent for me as she was one of the first female rappers I really looked up to and was influenced by in my own music.”
The track which was created during a week long stint at Roundhead Studios earlier this year, and comes after a huge 18 months for the rising artist.
Following a ‘Best Hip Hop Artist’ nomination and performance at the 2018 NZ Music Awards, Jess welcomed the summer performing to massive crowds at Rhythm & Vines, Bay Dreams, Splore, supporting Six60 at their record-breaking Dunedin show, as well as her own headline shows in Australia.
‘Bump Bump’ is the first track from JessB’s new project due later this year and follows the 2018 release of her debut EP Bloom.
