Ty Dolla $ign & YG To Perform In NZ

Together, Ty Dolla $ign and YG have worked with some of the biggest names in music today - and for their next project the American superstars are coming together for a new hip-hop and R&B concert right here in Aotearoa!

Backyard Boogie is the inaugural hip-hop & R&B live music concert, which will see Grammy nominated artist Ty Dolla $ign and Compton MC YG will headline at Auckland's Trusts Arena on October 27, 2022. Also included on the line-up are Australian-based hip-hop band HP Boyz, rising Australian-based R&B star Youngn Lipz, Kiwi rapper Tom Francis and rising star Misha.

Ty Dolla $ign's collaboration credits are impressive, having worked with big names in the music industry such as Kid Cudi, Post Malone, Kanye West, Anderson Paak, Quavo, Nicki Minaj, Kehlani, Big Sean, Roddy Ricch, Jhené Aiko, Future, Young Thug, FKA Twigs, and Skrillex and more. Some of his biggest hits include Wavy, Or Nah and Paranoid, with features on Megan Thee Stallion's Hot Girl Summer, Kehlani's Nights Like This Song, Khalid's OTW, SZA's Hit Different and Fifth Harmony's Work From Home just to name a few.

Rap superstar YG's collaboration credits stack up just as high, having worked with artists such as Drake, J Cole, Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, Saweetie, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Tyga, Chris Brown, H.E.R and of course Ty Dolla Sign. His top hits include My Hitta, Big Bank, Who Do You Love, Why You Always Hatin? and Go Loko.

Ever since the HP Boyz debuted on the NZ charts in 2019 they've continued to take hold of Kiwi audiences, while Youngn Lipz has been described as Australia's next certified R&B star.

Promoter Matthew Spratt says Backyard Boogie will bring plenty of energy, and with such a quality line-up, it is a not-to-be-missed concert.

"Backyard Boogie is an exciting addition to New Zealand's live music calendar, bringing worldclass international R&B and hip-hop stars to the shores of New Zealand," Spratt says.
