Snootie Wild Shot and Killed in Houston
Snootie Wild was killed in a shooting in Houston.
The 36-year-old Memphis rapper, born LePreston Porter, died from his injuries after being gunned down Saturday.
According to ABC 13, Wild was shot in the neck and discovered in a ditch next to an SUV. Police arrived at the scene around 2 a.m. after responding to their Shotspotter Program, which detects gunshots around Houston.
“It looks like he backed in there [the ditch] accidentally. Then the other vehicle pulled up, and folks got out of the car. They were talking for a little bit, and then all of a sudden, gunfire went off. Only one shot, actually,” said officer R. Willkens.
After receiving CPR at the scene, Wild was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but doctors were unable to save him.
Police surrounded the neighbourhood searching for a man and woman they believed to be the suspects.
