Nicki Minaj Reveals She Tested Positive For COVID-19

Nicki Minaj didn’t attend the Met Gala because she recently contracted COVID-19.

Taking to Twitter, she revealed that she tested positive for the coronavirus while rehearsing for the MTV Video Music Awards.

When a fan told her that “non vaccinated people are 11x more likely to pass away from covid than vaccinated,” Nicki said she was unvaccinated. “That’s not true. I had the exact same symptoms as ppl with the damn vaccine,” she added.

She also revealed that she didn’t attend the Met Gala because of the vaccine requirement.

“They want you to get vaccinated for the Met,” she continued. “if I get vaccinated it won’t for the Met. It’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research. I’m working on that now. In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head & face. Not that loose one.”

She recommends others get the vaccine if their job requires it and said she eventually plans to get vaccinated so she can tour.
