NO COMPLY Release Debut EP 'WELCOME TO BAD'

NZ rapper/producer duo NO COMPLY release their debut EP WELCOME TO BAD featuring their recent single ‘Love Letter’, as well as 2020 releases ‘Bad To The Bone’, ‘Tic Tac Toe’, ‘This Fish’ and new tracks ‘Eyes Shut I See’ and ‘Welcome To Bad’. 

Title track ‘Welcome To Bad’ is a hard hitting, punchy, bass filled statement of a track, designed for the times you have to let your hair down and get loose. Break something if you need to. A party anthem for the 3am kick on gremlins.

Over the last year, NO COMPLY have been making waves in the local music scene with their high energy live shows and their playful and melodic take on the rapidly changing, forever evolving genre we know and love as hip hop. 

As NO COMPLY gain confidence on the stage, so too does their music. The brothers really wanted to try and convey this within the EP by adding tracks that they thought might demonstrate what to expect at a gig whilst also adding some more lyrically focused tracks for fans of the craft to sink their teeth into and really digest. 

Rapper Fynn says of the EP:

“Whilst being a polished product that we are really proud of, the body of work was almost entirely written, recorded and mixed within the walls of our garage studio and that adds some much needed grit and a bit of edge. The EP starts of strong and punctual but ends on a more mellow note, a break and a breath of fresh air amidst all the madness. This ep incapsulates our night life, our personal struggles, our growth and what we do in our pass time to stay grounded.”
