In less than 24 hours, Bobby Shmurda is expected to be released from prison, and Quavo will be there to welcome him home.

The Migos rapper tells Billboard that he will pick up the Brooklyn MC when he steps out of New York’s Clinton Correctional Facility as soon as Wednesday.

“I’m going to get my guy,” said Quavo. “I’m personally gonna go pick up Bobby Shmurda. I’m bout to go get him. I’m gonna let him show you how I’m gonna pick him up, yessir.”

Quavo anticipates a big comeback for Bobby, who’s been behind bars since 2014. “It’s gonna be big,” said Quavo.

Shmurda, whose real name is Ackquille Pollard, was arrested in December 2014 on conspiracy to murder, weapons possession, and reckless endangerment charges. In 2016, he took a plea deal and was sentenced to six to seven years. Back in September, the 26-year-old was denied parole due to multiple prison violations. However, the Time Allowance Committee later decided to grant him the Feb. 23 conditional release for good behavior. He will be on parole until 2026.
