Ashanti & Keyshia Cole VERZUZ Gets New Date
The final time for Keyshia Cole and Ashanti’s Verzuz has been confirmed to be Friday 22nd January at 2pm for NZ fans.
The musical battle was actually rescheduled to go down this past weekend. However, with Coronavirus numbers continuing to spike and the unrest in the news cycle, it was put on hold. “This has been an emotional week,” Verzuz’s previous statement read. “In addition, as COVID-19 numbers continue to increase, safety is a top priority for us. As much as we enjoy having everyone together in the same room, to protect the artists and everyone who works with us in putting the shows together, we’ll be going back to separate locations for a bit.”
Fans have been waiting for Cole and Ashanti to duke it out in the Verzuz ring since 2020. However, the first date of Dec. 12 had to be canceled because the former Murder Inc. singer was diagnosed with COVID-19. Luckily, the star recovered in a couple of weeks.
