Big Sean Scores 3rd #1 Album On The Billboard 200 Album Chart
Big Sean claims the top spot on this week’s Billboard 200 Albums Chart, scoring a third consecutive No. 1 album with his latest release, Detroit 2.
In the tracking week ending Sep. 10, the Michigan rapper earned 103,000 SEA units, which included 71,000 (equating to 93.55 million on-demand streams), 30,000 traditional units and 2,000 in TEA units.
The Billboard 200 Albums Chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the US based on multi-metric consumption, comprising of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
Peaking at the summit on both US Apple Music and iTunes, Detroit 2 topped the charts in over 30 countries.
Big Sean previously led the chart with his I Decided. in 2017, bowing with 151,000 units and 65,000 in traditional album sales. The latest release grants the Grammy nominated star with his fifth top five album on the chart.
At 21 tracks spanning over 70 minutes, Detroit 2 includes hard-hitting production, polished beats, visceral rhymes and star-studded collaborations from some of the hottest names in hip-hop; Post Malone, Lil’ Wayne, Travis Scott, Young Thug and many more.
Big Sean took to social media to express gratitude following the announcement of Detroit 2 landing the number one spot on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart:

Detroit 2 has now accumulated 100 million streams across all platforms in just over a week and is now available for purchase and streaming.
