Kodak Black Apologizes For Disrespecting Lauren London Post Nipsey Hussle’s Death
It’s been over a year since Nipsey Hussle’s tragic and unexpected death. The rapper and entrepreneur’s family, including his partner Lauren London, have kept his legacy alive through a variety of projects. Fans are still mourning Hussle’s lost but one person who did not appear bothered by Hussle’s death was rapper Kodak Black. A video of Black vying for the attention of London surfaced after Hussle’s death and the backlash was swift. Black is now apologizing to London and Hussle’s family.
Millions were shocked when Hussle was gunned down in March 2019 and immediately expressed their heartbreak and concern for Hussle’s longtime love, London.
Black was not as sensitive to London’s loss. A video circulated of Black seemingly gloating that he may have a chance with London in the aftermath of Hussle’s murder. “Lauren London that’s baby, though,” Black said at the time. “She ’bout to be out here single. She fittin’ to be a whole widow out here. I’ll be the best man I can be for her. I’ll give her a whole year. She might need a whole year to be crying and shit for him.”
Many blasted London for his incentive comments and timing, including T.I. “The respect of a non-respectable person is not valued,” T.I. said at the time in a video shared by TMZ. “I’m respected by respectable people, people who actually can be held to high regard. I mean, listen man, to be honest with you, that’s all his brain capacity could come up with. I urge him to go educate himself and enlighten himself because if he knew better, he’d do better.”
He also noted that he would pray for Black to grow wiser and more mature.
Over a year after his comments, Black is now offering up an apology to London and Hussle’s family. He took to Instagram with a portrait of Hussle and a message, asking for forgiveness.
