Atlanta Rapper Lil Yachty has completed the trilogy with his new release “Lil Boat 3”, Lil Yachty showed the world his new tape was coming after his big release a few months ago with Da Baby and Drake on “Oprah's Bank Account” and if this track was a sign of things to come you would have to know we are in for a big project.

Lil Yachty is known for his ignorant but very mellow and autotuned voice but Yachty kicks off his new album in his vintage style with his track “Top Down” that is produced by Earl. This is probably a perfect song for Yachty to start his album off with his fun and careless style over this bouncy production which really throws you back to the memories of 2016 when Yachty broke through the scene.

The album does start strong with the opening track but it does seem to just hit cruise control with a cycle of your trap songs until it hits the track “T.D” which features Tierra Whack, A$AP Rocky and Tyler the Creator. This song is everything you would expect with Yachty and his ignorant bars backed up by Rocky with his smooth pretty boy flow and Tyler tapping into his aggressive style but Tierra Whack who is arguably the least common name on this track has been a standout.  Tierra constantly changes up her flow and makes it look easy while doing it, Tierra Whack should definitely gain herself some more recognition for what she has done on this track.

Lil Yachty has definitely shown that he has advanced and matured a bit more in his craft. Tracks such as “Demon Time” and “Black Jesus”  show that he can actually spit and that he doesn’t just rely on his “mumble rap” style which is becoming increasingly popular over the years. “Oprah's Bank Account” was Yachty showing that he can hang with the biggest names in the game currently and that he should be given more recognition for what he can do. “Lil Boat 3” has shown the growth that Yachty has had as an artist over the past few years and how much he has advanced.

Lil Yachty has definitely been a bit more diverse with the release of this album and I think he has gone out to show everyone that he can mix it up and still hold his own. This project definitely has its standout tracks along with its fillers and it definitely isn’t an album that is going to change the world, but Yachty has shown his growth through this trilogy and with the release of “Lil Boat 3” you can’t help but think what is next for Yachty.
