Hurricane Chris Arrested For Murder
Hurricane Chris has been arrested for murder in Louisiana.
The 31-year-old rapper behind the 2007 hit “A Bay Bay” allegedly shot and killed a man on Friday morning at a Texaco gas station in his hometown of Shreveport, according to the Shreveport Police Department. He is currently in custody after being arrested and booked for second-degree murder.
TMZ reports that Chris initially told cops that he shot the man multiple times in self-defense after an alleged struggle over his car. However, the surveillance footage reportedly showed otherwise and cops arrested Chris for second-degree murder.
Additionally, the car Chris was riding in was reported stolen out of Texas, so the rapper was also booked for illegal possession of stolen things.
Hurricane Chris, whose real name is Christopher Dooley, Jr., is best known for his hit “A Bay Bay,” which peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. His last album, King Cane, was released independently in 2017.
