We were all really anticipating the release of Pop Smoke’s posthumous album on June 12 but the wait would have to be a bit longer.

Steven Victor, the head of Pop’s label, has announced that his album will now be released on July 3rd. The push back comes in light of the recent protests in the U.S. following George Floyd’s death.

“Given recent events, we have decided to delay the release of his album out of respect for the movement,” Steven said on Instagram. But there’s some good news: a new song called ‘Make It Rain’ comes out Friday, June 12 featuring a guest who has not been revealed yet.

You can watch a trailer for the album above which features a preview of Pop’s remake of 50 Cent’s classic song ‘Many Men‘. 50 will be serving as the executive producer for the New York rapper’s posthumous LP. His single ‘Dior’ has already achieved platinum status and reached top 5 on Urban radio this week.
