Rhys Rich Drops New Track 'Red Rover'

Wellington artist, Rhys Rich, has spent the COVID-19 lockdown period creating new music. Today, he releases the track ‘Red Rover.’

Rhys says, “Red Rover tells an emphasized story of simply waiting for my girlfriend to get home from essential work. The unpredictability and anxiety of the pandemic and being stuck at home, your thoughts only, not being able to pursue physical interactions is a challenge for anyone. I think having a creative outlet or a personal goal was the primary way for myself and other like-minded individuals to thrive, instead of drowning.”

This single was produced & written at the beginning of lockdown. The song begins with hope and excitement and gradually dives into the loss of hope and faith, not only did lockdown give us a large amount of time to create and think, it was a perfect stretch to learn and engage about those within your bubble.
