The Importance Of Lil Uzi Vert
Earlier this year the music world was shaken by the release of Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert’s “Eternal Atake” after two and a half years worth of waiting for this project. Many Uzi fans were shocked and set back that the album was finally released and in unusual fashion as the project just randomly appeared on the likes of Apple Music and Spotify almost as if it had been leaked. Around all the hype a lot of people didn’t understand the commotion or the hype behind why this was so big. We wanted to take the opportunity to discuss the importance of Lil Uzi Vert.
To those who are new to the rap scene or are yet to know anything about it, Lil Uzi may just look like your average rapper that came out of the Soundcloud era along with many of our other stars of today but right now Lil Uzi is one of the most original artists in the game. Regardless of the track or project, you pick to listen to you will witness Uzi’s range of skills from his lightning-fast flows and his unexpected but smooth transitions throughout his tracks. Constantly Uzi carries his art in an explosive fashion with tracks such as his smash hit “XO Tour Llif3” where Uzi belts his powerful chorus at the listener and expresses his melodic and soulful voice that he has in his arsenal which can drive the listener to feel every emotion. Uzi’s versatility is second to none, you could blast any type of trap or old school beat and Uzi would flex as only he can over the beat. The production on Lil Uzi Vert’s latest project “Eternal Atake” is world-class and unorthodox, to say the least, Uzi showed his skill and versatility to take you on the intergalactic journey that was “Eternal Atake”. Lil Uzi has the talent to provide something new and unique on every track or project. In a world where Rap is sometimes extremely repetitive, Uzi is almost like a breath of fresh air.
Lil Uzi Vert's skill and capabilities have made him one of the benchmarks of the rap game in our current generation. Uzi is known for the amount of work he puts in behind the scenes and how he is a perfectionist in the studio and once you hear his final product you can tell the effort and thought process that has gone into the final sample, and just how much Uzi hones his craft. Uzi always refers to himself as a “Rockstar” and he backs up this statement with everything he does from his live shows, projects and the anticipation culture that is behind him. Whether the reason we all waited for “Eternal Atake” is because of label issues or whether Uzi wasn’t happy with the project the anticipation only worked in the favour of the Philadelphia native. Lil Uzi Vert has shown an example to the rest of the rap game to how it can be done, and that is to spend countless hours honing your craft and treating every track like a single, to get that hype around your releases and to be the talk of the scene so that when your track drops your already jumping the billboard. Lil Uzi is a benchmark to the game because of the conscious ways he works a project and grabs attention and most of all he can back it up once the time has come.
Lil Uzi Vert has set a platform for any rapper or inspiring artist. With the hot release of "Eternal Atake" Uzi showed how important he is to this game and has also indicated that he is possibly years ahead of this current rap scene in regards to skill and production. It doesn't seem to matter how much Uzi even releases a year he only seems to be getting bigger and bigger, you may just be looking at someone who is pioneering the next generation of artists.
