Mo Muse & Sol Release ‘Frenemies’ Visuals

Mo Muse releases visuals for ‘Frenemies’, the 5th single from his debut project “The First Generation LP”.

The visuals show a tense insight into a friendship gone sour, with Mo and feature artist Sol exchanging awkward pleasantries in different settings. Dunedin rapper Sol can be seen visibly trying to reach out to help save the relationship, however, Mo is uninterested. “This track is inspired by the most dangerous type of friendship. Ambivalent friendships. The ones where you don’t really know where you stand with someone. The paranoia of thinking they might secretly dislike you, but you ignore all red-flags for the sake of the friendship. I find It becomes a lot more visible as your success grows.”

Directed by Delicious Miss, with the help of Dominic Fryer and Hayden Roundtree on DOP and focus-pulling duties respectively. Edit courtesy of Connor Pritchard and finished off with masterful colouring by David McLaren (Hunt for the Wilderpeople), Frenemies is a piece of film that cements Mo Muse firmly into the New Zealand hip-hop theatre.
