According to court documents obtained by XXL, a Los Angeles judge has ordered the case to be stayed following the rapper’s death.

The court states no representative has been appointed over Juice WRLD’s estate. The case will be stayed until someone is put in charge of his estate and has the authority to make legal decisions.

Back in October, Juice WRLD was sued by the pop-rock band Yellowcard. The band members Ryan Key, Peter Mosley, Longineu Parson and Sean Wellman-Mackin sued Juice Wrld (real name: Jared Higgins), Taz Taylor and Interscope Records.

The group accused Juice Wrld of illegally sampling elements of their 2006 song ‘Holly Wood Died’ for his 2017 breakout hit, ‘Lucid Dreams.’ The complaint asks for more than $15 million in damages, as well as past and future royalties for the song. The band also requested to receive damages from Juice Wrld’s tours.
