Chicago born, up and coming rapper King Von has released his new project “Welcome to O’Block” which is based off the Southside housing project that King Von grew up in. King Von released this album under childhood friend Lil Durk’s label OTF.

King Von opens the project with “Armed & Dangerous” which is a hard-hitting track where Von spits about everything that happens in his hometown where he states this is the “ Real Halloween” and gives us an insight into his hood. “GTA” comes next with a 90’s sega type sample on the beat where King Von raps about running from cops and carrying a Glock at all times.

King Von has shown us that he can do more than just drill with the track “Demon” King Von shows us the vocal strength he carries as an artist where he sings and hits every melody perfectly and shows the listener that he feels he has even become a demon with what he has been around and gone through.

“Welcome to the O’Block” delivers in a big way, it is easy for an album that is so heavily run by one genre to blend too much but Von and OTF have produced this album brilliantly and putting the listener in the driver's seat on a ride of drama and stories. Chicago’s scene has taken over 2020.
