Diggy Dupé Shares Video For 'New Devils' Feat. SWIDT
Just a month on from the release of his stunning debut album That's Me, That's Team, Diggy Dupé shows yet again why he's not only one of the most talented rappers on the local scene, he's one of the best connected. Album track 'New Devils' features local heroes SWIDT, and definitely deserves its own moment.
"'New Devils' is more or less a street single. Produced once again by SmokeyGotBeatz (SWIDT) it touches on the issues that come with success," Diggy Dupé says.
"Filmed by Connor Pritchard, the boys are seen performing next to expensive European cars to represent this new level of success, one being a Porsche as mentioned in INF’s verse. Eventually, an unknown figure enters and we come to find out that it’s their boss, played by social media sensation Dre Skrila (@DreSkrila) and that they’re actually workers at a car shop."
"The song itself is tough, so I wanted the twist at the end to lighten it up. It’s like us showing people, hey we can do all that fancy car flexing type of videos and whatnot, but at the end of the day that’s not really us, we’re the blue-collar people. I feel like it’s an honest reflection of ourselves because, to be honest, if you see a fancy car in my video it’s definitely not mine haha!"
