A$AP Rocky is finally free. After having a three-day trial, the rapper is now released from jail after a judge ruled that he will not have to remain in custody or in Sweden while awaiting the verdict and sentence in his Swedish assault case. The verdict is expected August 14. The other two defendants were also released and free to leave as well.

Rocky was in jail for a month after his involvement in a Stockholm street brawl on June 30. Prosecutors asked the judge to impose a 6-month jail sentence on Rocky, claiming he should be punished for throwing a bottle at the alleged victim, Mustafa Jafari. They also asked to keep him in custody while he awaits the verdict because they believed he was still a flight risk. Luckily the judge disagreed.

According to TMZ, the judge allowing Rocky to leave the country may be a sign that he won’t be found guilty. In Rocky’s lawyer’s closing statement, he said the rapper’s actions were not premeditated. He says the video of Rocky fighting with the alleged victim lasted for six seconds, and that his actions do not amount to assault.
