Normani Performs 'Motivation' At VMAs

Two years after sharing the VMA stage with Fifth Harmony, the R&B songstress made her show-stopping solo debut at today’s MTV Video Music Awards at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Wearing a cropped purple velour jacket and shorts, Normani descended from a basketball hoop while recreating the throwback music video, which pays homage to Beyoncé, Britney Spears, and Jennifer Lopez. Surrounded by dancers in matching sweatpants, she busted out some killer moves while bringing the video to life.
