The 6 God has officially announced that he’s in the studio working on a new album. Taking to Instagram, he posted a series of photos of himself with the caption “Album mode.”

In one slideshow, he’s in Turks and Caicos lounging in the pool, walking shirtless on the beach, and playing golf. In another series, shot by Jamil GS, he’s back home at his Toronto penthouse on the phone with a portrait of Beyoncé behind him.

During the London stop on his “Assassination Vacation Tour” in April, Drizzy revealed that he’s already started recording and plans to return with a new album in 2020.

“I kinda actually started last night to be honest with you,” he told fans at the O2 Arena. “But I think what I’ma do after this, is I’ma go home and I’ma make a new album so I can come back to London next year and we can do this again.”

His last album, Scorpion, was released in June 2018. Additionally, he and Future may be working on What a Time to Be Alive 2, a sequel to their 2015 collaborative project What a Time to Be Alive.

The Raptors brand ambassador recently announced that he’s bringing back OVO Fest to Toronto this year. He also made Billboard history, tying The Beatles for the second-most top 10s in the Hot 100’s 60-year history, thanks to “No Guidance,” his collaboration with Chris Brown.
