Denzel Curry season has approached faster than we expected. Not even a year out from his last album, TABOO, a standout release in 2018, Curry is back with ZUU.

The album has Curry's signature raucous energy and fire, but with a twist—he freestyled the whole album.

In a new interview with HotNewHipHop, Curry revealed his process.

"I freestyled the whole [album]," he said. "Went from mind to mic. The pen and the pad is the middle-man if you already know what you’re going to say."

He continued: "I just wanted to keep it simple and plain. Straight to the point. Just get down to business. Forget the dilly-dallying."
