Rihanna has sold a documentary to Amazon for the tune of $25 million. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming giant purchased worldwide rights to the Peter Berg-directed film about the superstar singer.

The untitled Rihanna doc, which has been in development for years, is an unfiltered look into the singer’s life. Endeavor Content began shopping the project to multiple distributors and showed footage in Cannes in May before finalizing the deal with Amazon.

“With unparalleled access into the singer’s life and more than 1,200 hours of footage, the doc offers private insights into Rihanna’s personality, sense of humour, work ethic, family and love,” writes THR.

In September, Rihanna partnered with Amazon Prime on her star-studded Savage X Fenty fashion show, which featured performances from Migos, DJ Khaled, and Big Sean.

Rihanna is the latest star to land a massive streaming paycheck. Apple TV+ recently paid $25 million deal for a documentary on Billie Eilish, which follows the 17-year-old singer surrounding the release of her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
