Young Gho$t & LBFRmikey Collab On Weed In My Lungs'

Young Gho$t and LBFRmikey let off steam in smoking new single 'Weed In My Lungs'. The new tune, produced by Chronic Shnxman, is a teaser from Young Gho$t's forthcoming album, 'Hungerstruck', out next month on NVRSFT Records. Since releasing his full-length debut 'Session Muzik' back in March, the Wellington-based rapper has been steadily working, with the grind leading to opening slots for international heavyweights such as Shakewell, Ramirez, Bladee and Mr Traumatik.

Originally both from England, Young Gho$t and LBFRmikey have each been making their strides this year along with the rest of their NVRSFT crew, and a collaboration between these two up and coming friends has been in the works for a while now. The result is a bouncy slice of modern hip hop with a twist. Shnxman's beat is characteristically heavy, with firm distorted bass bouncing erratically against a hazy strobe of melodies, punctuated by sharp drums. Both rappers are their usual selves - sly, nonchalant and downright catchy - but this song represents a step forward for Gho$t in streamlining his sound, with a little less rage and a little more swagger in his step.
