That's right. One of the best in the game - Jermaine Cole believed in J.I.D and signed him to his Dreamville label in 2017. Cole also featured on J.I.D's track "Off Deez,” which can be found on ‘ Di Caprio 2.’
2. DiCaprio 2's Success
J.I.D released his second album DiCaprio 2 towards the end of 2018. With 2018 being a strong year for music, most blogs had already put together their lists for Top Albums Of 2018. J.I.D ended up being on multiple lists because DiCaprio 2 was THAT good. Some of the features include J.Cole, A$AP Ferg, 6LACK, Ella Mai, Joey Bada$$, and more.
3. BET Rookie Of The Year
As BET states - "Dreamville’s master of flow silently ruled rap’s millennial roost for 2018." They are already including J.I.D in the 2019’s Best New Artist class.
4. Collab Dreamville Album
Earlier this year J.Cole announced the Revenge of the Dreamers III, the second compilation album, and third in the series, by Dreamville Records. Some of the best in the industry joined Dreamville artists in Atlanta to work on one of the most anticipated albums of 2019. Each was sent an invitation and summoned to Atlanta. J.I.D included. The album ended up going gold and is considered to be one of the best albums of 2019.
5. XXL Freshman Class of 2018
